Become a Volunteer

Students, Adults & Families, all are welcome!

Festival du Voyageur invites you to join our team of volunteers that are integral to hosting this marvelous celebration of winter fun.  Participating as a volunteer gives you the opportunity to enrich your cultural experience, and is open to students, groups of friends and individuals of all ages and families who are looking for a fun time together.

  • There is no minimum time commitment to volunteer, although we recommend volunteering for at least 2 shifts to achieve a full Festival experience.  Shifts range from 3 to 4 hours in length.
  • Volunteers must attend a 1-hour volunteer orientation session in January/ February 2021.
  • You do not have to be bilingual (English & French) to volunteer, but it is a great opportunity to practice both languages!
  • Most positions are outside, so dress warmly for the conditions!  Schedules can change, depending on the weather or if we have a volunteer shortage, so a certain flexibility is required to volunteer.
  • Some of the roles require strength, endurance and potentially long hours of standing.  Please let us know if you have any physical, medical, dietary restrictions or other needs that should be taken into consideration.
  • Register to be a volunteer on Better Impact (Click here) which is our volunteer registration and scheduling system.  Review Festival du Voyageur’s Organization and Volunteer Policy to apply.  Once your application has been approved, you will be able to access our volunteer postings to create your volunteer schedule.
  • Volunteer Postings will be available on Better Impact December 2020 for Festival 2021.

  • Free Festival Passes
  • Volunteer Souvenir Gift (minimum of 2 shifts to volunteer)
  • Free meals while on shift at our Volunteer Tent at Voyageur Park
  • Invitation to our Volunteer Appreciation Party
  • Accreditation available for volunteer hours (on demand)– to add to your resume, complete your volunteer school requirements, or receive a letter of recommendation
