Call for Market Vendors
Festival du Voyageur 2026 will be held at Whittier Park, 866 St. Joseph Street (corner of St. Joseph and Messager) in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
This Call for Vendors is for the Tente de souvenirs, Tente des neiges, and Louis-Riel Day Market.
DETAILS
Service in French: It is highly recommended to always have service available in French at the counter.
Signage: All signage must be in both French and English and approved before displaying.
Booth presentation: Vendors’ displays must not interfere with the look and feel of Parc du Voyageur. No flashing lights, music, or excessive decor are permitted.
Equipment: Two – 6ft tables and 2 folding chairs will be provided in the 8ft X 8ft space (Tente de souvenirs); One - 6ft table and 2 foldings chairs (Tente des neiges; Louis-Riel Day Market).
Electricity and Internet: Electricity will be provided to each vendor if required and are included in the fees. A 15 amp outlet will be provided per booth. It is recommended that all vendor lighting be LED. All general lighting of the tent will be provided by two pole lights. Internet is very limited and is not available to the vendors.
*No electricity will be provided for Louis-Riel Market vendors.
Heat: The tent will be heated beginning a few days before opening day on Friday, February 13, 2026. Heat will be consistent and left on 24 hours a day. Please note the temperature in the tent does vary depending on outdoor weather conditions, winds, amount of people inside the tent…Please dress accordingly.
Admission to site: FDV will provide the vendor with passes (maximum 2) for staff that will give them access to the site. One parking spot will be supplied by FDV to our public parking area.
Payment Options: Festival du Voyageur will be promoted as a cashless event. We do allow our vendors to offer cash as a method of payment however there will be no ATM machines available. We do suggest that another form of payment be offered - by credit card, debit or EFT.
Deliveries: No vehicles are allowed within Parc du Voyageur less than 30 minutes before opening to public or less than 30 minutes after closing. All deliveries done during operating hours must be dropped off at the service gate (corner of Messager St and St Joseph St) then walked over to the booth. Set up times will be given to the vendors a minimum of 24 hours before the first day of business. They will be confirmed with you when fees are paid.
Security: Parc du Voyageur is staffed by security personnel 24/7 during the festival. FDV will not be responsible for any loss, theft, or damaged to property or goods during the event. The Souvenir tent doors will be locked when not open to the public. FDV staff will have 3 keys: 1 on-site, 1 off-site as well as 1 with our official FDV merchandise vendor.
