Fort Gibraltar Live!Grade 9-12
Welcome to the Canada Life School Program portal for Fort Gibraltar Live! This is your one-stop shop for everything you’ll need to bring Festival du Voyageur into your class!
We strongly encourage you to do the introduction activities first, followed by the virtual program, and then the reflection activities. However, if you find that doing some of the activities in a different order works better for you, please feel free to customize this module. No one knows your class better than you!
The following .pdfs contain the workbooks for the introduction and reflection activities. Feel free to print off as many copies as you need for your students. Alternately, if some or all of your students are learning from home and they must submit work online, the worksheets are all interactive .pdfs that can be saved and sent. We have also provided the instructions for the craft in .pdf, in case you are unable to show the videos.
We hope these activities help you teach your students about our rich cultural, historical, and musical heritage and help your students have a great virtual Festival. If you’re able and willing, please share pictures and videos of your students as they celebrate at school on social media (#FDV2023), or by email at [email protected] We can’t wait to see how your students celebrate with the joie de vivre of Festival!
